Short escape day 3

today we have been walking 6.6km in total, no wonder my legs are tired

This morning I finished off the Old Time Kaleidoscope block, only one more big one to go.

Today we had a walk locally then went to Daylesford Lake and head a  walk there, we went to Sutton Spring to try and find a cache, no joy, so then walked around the lake to try and find another, the cache was in a rock wall at the Springs, so many places to look!!

It was just near where I took this photo, and I found it, happy new!! There was one more we could have tried to find but I was tired and we decided to just head home and have an icecream instead.
This was the last cache I found today , love that the log where you sign your name is a big diamond 😄
Tonight is Friday Night with Friends where we get to sew along with virtual friends. I had better go and sort some dinner and then get stitching.
Happy stitching.

Ps I had to add in this photo of me geocaching this morning, I worked out where the cache was, but had to go down a slippery bank (not very high) and over the water to the post, after much discussion hubby watched while I tried it out. The water was not very deep but it was very cold, I kept my socks on so I wouldn't slip, took a towel ands dry ones to put on later. I am pretty pleased with myself I managed this.
So good to achieve something I didn't think I could do!

  4. Were you Geocaching? We used to do that with our kids. They can take you to some neat places, and kids love it too!

That building honestly looks to me like a plastic canvas project stitched with yarn. It is so cool!

  8. I love a brave soul, and you definitely checked that box going in the cold water. And how ingenious to keep your socks on and have a back-up (and hubby standing by doesn't hurt either)! Well done, you!
