Short escape day 2

I had a very slow start to the day today, reading in bed with a cuppa, nothing better!!

I headed off for a walk around the lake in the sunshine

The water was still pouring over the spillway at the end of the lake

Very calm this morning

There is a cache somewhere under this bridge but I am not nimble enough to climb underneath or prepared to walk in the water to get it!!  Maybe if I was 20 years younger!!

The water lillies are growing around the othersideof the lake

We went to the train station  to look for a cache,  but realised it was up a tree....mmmm no not today!!

This little wombat carving is at the base of Wombat Hill, the botanic Gardens here, there was a cache nearby, again hidden in a tree  but we couldn't find it 🤔

We went up to the top,of the hill and climbed up the tower for a look

Lots of trees and glimpses of the countryside.
Back to the cabin and an icecream was the next thing to do.
I have been reading for the last few hours, but have managed to do a little stitching

Two more pieces of border to go!! Yahoo!!
Happy stitching.

  7. I love love love that bridge photo so much! I would love to make it into a quilt! It is by far the coolest photo online I've seen for awhile!

By the way, I forgot to mention in my previous comment how lovely your quilt block is! Your fabric choices are perfect.

  8. After the rain the day before, you had a gorgeous day - and it sounds like it was a lovely relaxing one too...although maybe a little frustrating with the cache finding? I love that photo of the bridge - interesting construction.
