Retreat Day 2

There was lots of sewing and unsewing today, I finally finished the first border for Betty's Medallion only to find it is too big. All the ladies here have had a look and a solution has been suggested so will get to that back at home.

Betty's Medallion as far as I can go at present.
After all the cutting I did and sewing, I realised I cut the flying geese units the wrong way, so have ended up with square in square blocks. I am not going to waste the fabric.

Last night's dinner was baked potatoes, coleslaw and onion and bacon cooked with capsicum, which was yummy

Followed by pavlova with berries, so yum!!!

Late yesterday I made this week's Anthology blocks

Today I have been working on the borders of the Old Time Medallion, more on that tomorrow.
Happy stitching.

Wow, you are certainly getting a lot of sewing done. Sorry about the unsewing. Great though, you and the other ladies have come up with a solution.

It looks like you are just adding your own spin to Betty’s Medallion. It will still look beautiful and if you don’t tell us we won’t realise it has a slight variation. The retreat sounds like fun and you are well fed.

I am glad to hear that you have a solution to the problem. Very upsetting when that happens. Dinner looks so delicious.

You are achieving lots Sue!! And the food looks SO yummy! I cannot see anything wrong with the quilt but I guess I don't have an eye for it.😉 I love the colours & fabrics you are using. Hope the rest of Retreat goes well Sue. xx

What a shame about that border - can you make the previous one a little bigger? Looks like you are eating very well. xx

The square in a square blocks are PERFECT! Sometimes fixing an error makes projects turn out better in the end! I am feeling your "borders not fitting" pain. Hang in there. You will figure it out.
