plugging away here, I finished a quilt on Tuesday for the local Kinship Carers
Made from 6 fat quarters, this has made a tiny difference to my stash!!
And this weeks Anthology block.
I found this cute little guy at the local newsagents, so am in the process of knitting him a vest and then he/she will go off to Jan Mack of Oz Comfort Quilts, it is getting closer to Christmas (gulp) so I am sure cuddly toys will be needed.
I have spent the morning doing domestics and have moved onto making binding, cutting and ironing pieces for another quilt. Now for some lunch and then back to it again.
Happy stitching.
He's a very friendly looking fellow. He's going to be even sweeter in his sweater lol
ReplyDeleteGood on you for thinking of others, and Christmas.
I am always astonished at how much you get done each week, well done! Love the cuddly toy! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteGo you! I’m sure the little critter will be loved.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt and cute cuddley toy for donation…
ReplyDeleteSlowly your pile of blocks are growing…
Good work Sue. Glad you have got the knitting bug
ReplyDeleteIt may have used minimal fabric, but a finish is always good. And this one is very pretty. So is your anthology block.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is pretty......
ReplyDeleteLOVE the quilt dancing with all those happy batiks! Just gorgeous, Sue. The Anthology block is lovely and oh how sweet the little guy is in his sweet knitted jacket. I had not heard of Jan Mack. I am off to discover her blog. I would like to read about her charitable initiative. Does her blog give details where to send donations? It sounds as if you have a lot of sewing to occupy your days, Sue. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. Your fat 1/4 quilt turned out great - you make is sound simple - I'll bet its not 😉😊 Love the little guy you knitted the jumper for - what a great idea.
ReplyDeleteCute little cuddly toy......sure to be loved by its new owner. A lovely finish.

That quilt is quite stunning with those colours. Cute little guy you are knitting for. He will be well loved and cherished by a lucky child.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing so well keeping up with your Anthology blocks - it's going to be a cool quilt when you're done. You're very generous with your charity sewing (and knitting) - well done!
ReplyDeleteI really like that block. It would be fun to see several of those blocks together in one quilt.
