Out and about -photo heavy

We have taken advantage of the lovely weather and been out caching
There was a cache at this war memorial

Lots of rocks with names under this pine tree 🌲
Lovely memorial walk with a rock slab and plaque for each war the Australians attended
Was a beautifully quiet place
We then went on to Bonne Doon
There was a cache under this bridge, we didnt even attempt it!!
Such a beautiful sky today
Eventually we headed back to Mansfield
The info centre was closed by the time we fot there, but we made the supermarket and stocked up.
A bit of trivia we learned was that the main street is wide because back in the day the space was needed for the bullock teams to turn around!
Blogger is mot cooperating on my phone so will finish up for now.

  4. Beautiful walks.... I rather like the way they have done the war memorial.... unique and nice the families can write on rocks and add to it ... not many you see have place for participation

I can't imagine why you didn't go for the cache under the bridge (you do sense the sarcasm, don't you?).

  8. Plenty of exploring and adventuring as you are so good at Sue! The weather looked lovely and just right for swimming - I'm not sure why you didn't attempt the bridge cache!!!!!! hehe. I do like that war memorial with the rocks, and the different wars mentioned.

  10. What a lovely hour+ I've spent traveling with you, and sadly I must move on with my day, but I'm so grateful for the internet, and for friends like you who share your travels. I've been off blog reading for the most part, but will come back for more as soon as I can. That blue sky IS amazing! The war memorial was so beautiful and sounds peaceful. Thank you for all the sharing. I'll be back for the quilting, too. =)
