Retreat

The last post went really strange so I am trying again 😁
I spent Mon to Thurs last week at The Retreat in Gisborne
Busy ladies
I made the first two stars in the Corner Star quilt
Then another two
another two and another I forgot to take a photo of them 🙃
Judy made a  beautiful fat quarter quilt
And a poppy quilt
Maxine was putting nine patches together  these were from a swap about 15 years ago
The finished quilt top
Sue made this beautiful star
Carleen made this Swoon Block  it goes with these
Don't they look great?
Another Judy creation, made from left over bits and pieces
Another Judy creation, she had Christine sewing up a storm - these were triangles left from another project.
Maxine made us a pavlova - guess who had the last slice at lunchtime the next day! 🤭
Maria was making blocks which I didn't get a photo of as well as binding.
Maria and I spent some time looking at this double wedding ring quilt, Jill has done the hand quilting, now we need to do a lot of unpicking and renewing as the border is wavy and does not sit flat.
I am stopping here, 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 Blogger publishes this ok this time.
Happy stitching.

  10. Retreat looks delightful. Everyone I know is going on retreats. I think I need to get out more. I have had one overnight retreat in the past 4 years! LOL Back to your post--I enjoyed seeing what everyone was working on. So much to love. Your blocks look complex to me. Where they hard to put together? I can see myself getting things switched around on those.
The poppy strippy quilt is very pretty. Love the tiny 9-patches, and the Swoon blocks, and... well, you get the idea.
The Pavlova looks scrumptious--did you get the last piece?
    That last project appears challenging!
