For my records

I have finished the Guild Mystery quilt

Ops looks like it needed a good shake!
and the Corner Star Quilt
I did some sandwiching out on the back deck yesterday while the weather was still sunny, it was a bit challenging as it was very windy!
This strip quilt will go to a friend of Jenny's in Auckland when it is finished.
I now have 3 quilts ready to be quilted but first need to finish and Aussie Hero quilt I decided to squash in at the end of the month.
Happy stitching.

Tiki tour day 4 and Baradine

We left our motel this morning and looked out for Tooraweenah , there was an Adventure Lab there to do. I didn't take any photos, woops!!
But on the way we stopped at a lookout to the Warrambungle Ranges
There was a memorial to Returned Setvice men who took up land options after WW1 and became farmers

From there we went to Coonabarabran and visited the quilt shop, a little community support happened 😁
Then on to Baradine.
Ladies arrived at different times and got sewing
And chatting.
We had dinner at the pub

Raewyn completed a block for her Corner Star quilt

I had a morning walk
Saw the local kangaroos

This flying pig mail box appealed to me
I finished my Corner Star quilt and managed to get rust marks on it from the fence 😒
Lea's Corner Star quilt
general room view
Last night I put the borders on this quilt, we had an interesting time taking a photo this morning, there were ants biting my feet and the breeze was moving the quilt!! The challenges of outdoor photography!!
Off to continue sewing!

Retreat

The last post went really strange so I am trying again 😁
I spent Mon to Thurs last week at The Retreat in Gisborne
Busy ladies
I made the first two stars in the Corner Star quilt
Then another two
another two and another I forgot to take a photo of them 🙃
Judy made a  beautiful fat quarter quilt
And a poppy quilt
Maxine was putting nine patches together  these were from a swap about 15 years ago
The finished quilt top
Sue made this beautiful star
Carleen made this Swoon Block  it goes with these
Don't they look great?
Another Judy creation, made from left over bits and pieces
Another Judy creation, she had Christine sewing up a storm - these were triangles left from another project.
Maxine made us a pavlova - guess who had the last slice at lunchtime the next day! 🤭
Maria was making blocks which I didn't get a photo of as well as binding.
Maria and I spent some time looking at this double wedding ring quilt, Jill has done the hand quilting, now we need to do a lot of unpicking and renewing as the border is wavy and does not sit flat.
I am stopping here, 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 Blogger publishes this ok this time.
Happy stitching.
