I have received several handmade cards, postcard and ornaments, they do bring joy when you know someone has been thinking of you! Thank you very much everyone.
Adam came over for dinner last night with the box below and wanted to learn to crochet, mmmm he is left handed and I am right so my instruction was all back to front for him. Think we need to find a book on how to crochet for left handers!
My job for this afternoon, trying to figure this one out. Finn loves rabbits, hence getting this one.
This morning I took Adam to Queenscliff as he was off on the ferry to meet up with Beth and Finn who have been at Beth's parents house for the last 10 days
Looking up the beach from the old jetty to the new flash ferry building.
the end of the jetty with the old life boat shed to the left
inside the old waiting room, there must have ben a passenger ferry here at some stage
This one appealed to me
It was an overcast cool morning, the wind was blowing up the Bay from the South! There is an art competition at Queenscliff, the paintings/photos/art works are displayed along the jetty (well photos of), it was interesting wandering along looking at them all. Loved the lino print above.
And off the ferry goes.
Happy stitching.
Hi Sue. Youtube for left handed crochet tutorials! Great picture inside the old ferry building, I love it. Merry Christmas. xx
ReplyDeleteSome lovely cards and ornaments. Don’t you love how we can always find something iterating when we are out and bout.
ReplyDeleteWishing you you and your family a wonderful Christmas. And may you have another awesome year of quilting and crafting
ReplyDeleteTry sitting opposite Adam when teaching him. I think there are books out there. So I am sure you will find something on Pinterest, YouTube or Facebook
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThose cards and ornaments are lovely, Sue. Perhaps a YouTube tutorial especially for a left handed person might work. Good luck with the rabbit. Have a lovely Christmas Day celebrating with your loved ones.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Sue.
ReplyDeleteI taught a lefty to knit. We sat knee to knee and she copied what my hands were doing. It worked out well for her. She knits beautiful garments now.
Hi Sue ... some lovely cards & ornaments. I do love the handmade aspect of anything! I am wondering how you got on with teaching Adam to crochet left handed? Your photos inside the terminal are wonderful. I hope you all had a great Christmas Sue. xx
ReplyDeletesomeone told me sit opposite the left handed person so they copy your mirror image... not sure if that works!

ReplyDeleteTeaching lefties is hard
ReplyDeleteSounds like a job for YouTube with you in attendance for advice. Happy some lovely mail came your way xx
Lol good luck teaching left handed crochet. My daughter crochets and she is left handed but she is also ambidexterous with some things. Can't remember if she uses her left or right hand.
ReplyDeleteLovely ocean view so close to home for you!
ReplyDeleteI wish you a fantastic 2026 full of health and joy!
A lovely assortment of Christmas mail :-) I wonder if you've made any progress with the bunny - it looks like it will be worth the effort!!! The art on the pier is very cool - and a good excuse to have a wander.
