This was a kit from the Eltham quilt shop, very happy to have it finished. I made the blocks at Baradine and now it is a finished top 😄
I also have finished a cheater quilt top
Fabric from Jemimas Creative quilting in Craigeburn, Raewyn and I xalled in ther on our way to the airport, centre is cheater fabric, the borders left over backing fabric. Very happy with that one.
I have also been given this pile of fabric that was found in the ugly box here on retreat. I think they could be chopped up sarongs from Indonesia. I am still deciding what to do or even if I want to take them home.
Abbey came over this afternoon with a big bag of Christmas fabric so I am thinking on something to do with some of that.
Had two walks today but no photos.
Happy stitching.
I love the colours in the ugly box. I'm sure you'll make something lovely
ReplyDeleteYour retreats are so productive.
ReplyDeleteAll that AND two walks!
Lots of pretty colours and patterns in the kit quilt, Sue. It might've taken a while but its well worth your efforts. I love that cheat quilt.
ReplyDeleteI’ve finally caught up on your posts of your trip to and from Baradine. You did take in a lot of wonderful places. It sounds like you barely had time to catch your breath before heading off again. Enjoy your retreat.
ReplyDeleteThat cheater piece is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe top with the sixteen blocks you are referring to, what fabric line are you using?
Lovely colourful blocks from the kit and the cheater top looks great. xx
ReplyDeleteYour top bought at Eltham, started at Baradine and finished at Gisborne (and quilted at St Leonards?!) has come together really well! You are doing sooo well sewing through the fabric we bought on our travels. I wonder did you end up taking the 'ugly' fabric?
ReplyDeleteThe quilt design really showcases the large print fabrics.
