Photo challenge

Sharon over at Alsha's space is up and running with week one of her weekly photo challenge...this week is red....mmmmmm......found a flower photo which I thought was kind of reddish but hubby said no, that is burgendy!!!! Pffftt!!!! So we came up with this

52 week word photo challenge

I am a bit behind this week so I am going to do two photos as once---last week was FREE

I went to St Leonard's last Monday and stopped at the huge petrol station on the Geelong road, and in the truck park there had been a lot of seed/grains spilt off a truck. So the birds, mainly sparrows and some little parrots were having a FREE feed!

And this week the word is CANINE! No contest here it has to be Tupai.

The word for this week is Stretch. Well that word stretched my imagination but I finally came up with this

me in a hammock last year - the hammock coping with a lot of STRETCH!

The word for this week is Star - I was scrambling for ideas, then thought I might find a star fish at the beach today, but as I was walking I remembered a photo I took in Samoa of the Bahai'i Church (I think that is the right spelling).  It is an interdenominational church, they have a service every Sunday and read from all the different faiths, they have quotes from every faith around the walls and this is the top of the roof

the Star of David, and inside is an inscription (I think) in Arabic. 

So this is my Star.

I missed last week as I was away but this week the word is Size, and I have chosen a crab photo - even though it is little, the big red claw makes it look impressive!

It is so small it is hard to see!! Lol!!  Oh, don't forget to visit Alsha's Space to see the other size photos.

This is week 7, and the word is fast...I had decided on a topic, I was going to get a boat going past, but on Saturday there were planes practising for an airshow at Point Cook, so I decided that would be faster!!

This week, week 6, the word is flow...I thought about water, rivers, creeks, then ran out of time to go and find one.  I was in the garden last evening working away and thinking about the word flow, originally I wanted to do something about go with the flow, but that didn't work out, then I thought of ebb and flow, really more to do with the sea, then money popped in to my brain, that ebbs and flows into my wallet, at the moment it is mainly an out flow...hence this picture!!

Week 5 of the photo challenge and the word is Open. The first thing that came to mind was a book, an open book is very inviting to me, I can't walk past it, and there I manage to lose hours!

Well,,,,,this week was a hard one for me......instantaneous.....mmmmmmm....what to do for that?? I finally tried to catch the rainbows as they come onto the bedroom wall when I open the curtains...I have crystals hanging in the window and when you open the curtains it feels like you are in a jar of rainbows!

The word this week is bright and as I took my photo this morning it is another one of the sun...well today is heading for 39 deg C, so I guess it is appropriate!!

I am very lucky to know these wonderful ladies through work initially (Marg) and the others through quilting, they are an amazing group, do beautiful work and are always there with help and ideas and encouragement, and nagging (I will get to that block of the month I promise!), fabric when you need just a certain bit and just plain happiness to see you! I am truly blessed to know this inspiring group of women.

Today I was over at Tracee's having a look around and I saw she is participating in a 52 week photo challenge organised by Shaz at Alsha's space, so as I love taking photos too I thought I would give it a try, the first week photo work is beautiful, so I decided on this photo of the sky taken when I was lying on the grass....kind of reverting back to childhood!!
