this was at the back of a carpark in an empty space
this was up the stinky alley way, out the back of the Chinese restaurants, just love the eyes....
another impressive painting
I sat outside the Chinese museum for a while, spoke to Adam who said he wasn't coming in to the city that evening and then the gps fired up...and guess what there was a cache 104 m from me!! So off I went, up the alley way behind two blokes...usually I would be more cautious but I knew straight away they were doing the same thing as me!!
One of the found the cache, magnetically attached to a metal door...you had to reach in underneath and it had dirt stuck to the lid and wood shavings and metal scourers attached at each end...really made you wonder what you were touching!!Lol!! We had a chat, signed the log and then went on our separate ways.I was supposed to meet hubby at 5.30..at 5.45 I went to the car to see if I had the message wrong and he was at the car...nope.....back to the lift entrance and waited some more...at 6pm he turned up, he got lost in Melbourne Central and couldn't find me!!! I had to chuckle as usually it is me that gets lost!! We jumped in the car and went to look for a parking spot near the Sherlock Holmes....not such a bright idea at 6pm on St Patricks Day!!! Eventually we fluked a parking meter, parked and wandered to the pub. We met hubby's sister, her husband, daughter and son and his partner and had a great evening with them. Shane was busy working behind the bar.
our beautiful niece Tessa..
the Hubble family...
a Hubble and a hubby
myself and Ellen...
Shane joined us for his very quikc dinner break!!
On Sunday morning I made two blocks for Aussie Heros...they are making several quilts for the chapel in Kabul
mine were purple (surprise!!) and wonky log cabins. I have decided I do wonky very well!! lol!!
I am off now to trace off another two New Hexagon blocks while the spag bol sauce cooks away
I have decided to change to the colours so am off to explore my stash!!I didn't mean to have waffled on so long seem to have been a bit carried away!!!
Happy sewing.
