This morning I went to the Bellarine Quilters sit and sew....several members have been making quilts for others.....baby size, cot size and play rug size. We had a visit form Solange (I think that is the correct spelling) who works for the group
Geelong Mums. This group collect pre loved baby and children equipment and clothes and make up packs for family's or Mums who have a need for help. It was explained to us that quilts are currently not used in cots, they are though to add to the risk of SIDS.But the quilts the group have given to the Geelong Mums organisation will be used as pram covers, the little ones, and play mats...they go in a bag with toys. It was wonderful to listen to this inspiring young woman and to hear the work they do.

And here we are with the quilts (33) going to Geelong Mums.
These were part of show and tell today, two lovely quilts made from one piece of fabric cut into strips and then given spacers and pieces top and bottom...makes for a very effective quilt. You can see I have all the correct terms at my finger tips!! Lol!!
we have a very brooding sky tonight. I had better shoot off and help hubby with the dishes!!
Happy sewing.
