Yesterday morning was beautiful down at the beach
The Supervisor enjoyed plodding along and had a little play with some other dogs we met.
the daffodils caught my eye with the late afternoon sun on them yesterday. Today we have rain and cold, no sunshine!!
The Aussie Hero quilt is finished and in the mail, he requested Star Wars and Black and he is a Kiwi, hence the attempt at NZ in the bottom left corner.
Sandy of Shiralee Stitches very kindly sent me a piece of left over fabric, to cut the last two kites I needed. I was very careful cutting last night!! Sandy found the piece in the scrap bag!! How lucky was I!! I hope to have this Old Time Kaleidoscope Block finished tonight. We shall see!!
Happy stitching.
The quilt is fantastic, even if I am not a star-wars fan! Glad you and the supervisor had fun on the beach, dogs are always sociable creatures. But I'm jealous that it's cold and wet - still too hot for my comfort here! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteHow good to have the Star Wars quilt finished and on its way. I'm sure it will be much appreciated. Phew! How lucky were you that Sandy had a scrap. I can imagine how careful you were when cutting. The block is looking great. I love your daffs. Ours are just about to start blooming, but we are expected to start to get the cold weather today - but not much rain.
ReplyDeleteHow lucky is that. It's a wonderful world... blogland. Quilters love sharing
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beach day.... how lucky to have a little piece for you to cut the kites.... excellent customer service!

Oh your daffodils and beach are so beautiful! How amazing to shift so much in 24 hours! The Aussie hero quilt turned out fantastic, too. I love the NZ at the bottom, and he will, too. I know Canadians here get tired of people presuming they are just part of the United States, so I'm guessing Kiwis might feel the same. Yay for Sandy finding just what you needed in her scrap bag!
