I sat out on the back deck to eat my lunch and then read for a while.
This was my view, not bad today.
Yesterday I had a bits and pieces day, could not settle on one thing, kind of squirrel like!!
I have made some VERY small half square triangles, Ingrid challenged me to make something with small pieces, way out of my comfort zone here!!
I had a play with some EPP jewel shapes, I had seen some being made on Instagram and decided to have a go, like I need another project at the moment!! They make a 6 inch heart shape so should go together reasonably quickly.
Here is the pile of half square triangles
So far only one trimmed to size, my job for this afternoon is to trim the rest, then figure out how to get them safely under the machine.
Wish me luck.
Happy stitching.
Love the view.
ReplyDeletealso love the EPP shapes - what great hearts they would make!
take it easy.
Lovely view from your place, It's been sooooo HOT here and I'm not going for my dip. :(
ReplyDeleteThe EPP hearts will look great and such tiny HSTs... I know Raewyn was working with tiny blocks for On My Gosh.... see if you can see what she made.
You have have a wonderful view from your back deck, what a great place to sit. And your sewing looks wonderful, yo have a lot of patience. Take care, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you are home and ok. A little sewing won't hurt
ReplyDeleteA very nice vista to look at. I love your jewel pieces....they will be lovely hearts. Well done on the tiny HST. I understand the squirrel here and there....me too!
ReplyDeleteLove those heart shaped ones--so pretty in batiks..stay vigilant hugs from afar Julierose
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, those triangles are tiny. What are you going to do with them?
ReplyDeleteOh my, all that trimming to do! Well, good luck! Great view. xx
ReplyDeleteWishing you lots of luck, Sue. The smaller the piece the greater the hassle, in my opinion. The heart halves are lovely and I am sure you will join the broken hearts :-) I see that you changed the cover picture. That earlier picture (fully clothed women holding underwear panels) always made me smile :-)
ReplyDeleteGosh those half squares are tiny Sue! Well done. I love the heart shapes you have made. We have rain here today so I am hopefully off to the sewing room. xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful view and fun hearts you are making. I have some large half hexagons to do... gosh really tiny HST's.... I love tiny so looking forward to seeing what you make...
ReplyDeleteHugz

ReplyDeleteGood luck on finding something to settle on today.
Stay away and stay safe...xox
Very productive and I love your hearts.
ReplyDeleteAren’t warm autumn days the best. After a few cool days this morning is glorious. I think I may take my sewing machine outside. I wonder what you will do with your hearts and HSTs? If you take it slowly you’ll have no trouble with the small piecing.
ReplyDeleteAutumn is such a lovely time of the year - I do believe it's my favourite season! Love to see you busy and playing - and I look forward to seeing what becomes of your bits and pieces.
