I have been sewing away on another fat quarter quilt, this time a vegetable theme. It was requested by a supporter of a local organisation called Feed Me Bellarine, started by two chefs, they gather or have delivered food that is not wanted by restaurants or supermarkets or growers and then make meals for 1200 people each week, in our local area. They also have a cafe and small market area. So my friend asked me to make this quilt to give to them.
One vegetable quilt! I found the fabrics at Find a Fabric an online shop, the colours are great and print really clear. The pattern used 9 fat quarters.
Tonight is FNWF, time to virtually sew along with like minded people hosted by the lovely Cheryll.
I am aiming to sew these hexies together.
then they need to be pinned in place on the Tea and Cake quilt.
But for now I need to get the washing in, today turned out to be beautiful sunny day, so everything that needed washing was washed!
Have a great evening.
LOVE your vibrantly coloured, vegetable quilt, Sue! Those fabrics are fabulous! Feed Me Bellarine are going to love it and I can just imagine how this bright and cheery quilt will put many a smile on people's faces.
