Cat in the Hat quilt top finished, thank you Jo for your help and encouragement!!
Chooky had a 6am zoom session for an hour I was up late, no surprise there and found Jenny outside with the sun coming up thru the cypress trees
A Cat in the Hat pillowcase to go with the quilt, again thank you Jo for your guidance and help, not much fabric left over now!
Melinda's Elmer elephant which will be the centre of a quilt for her son. Made with foundation paper piecing, first time for Melinda and included curved seams, she is amazing!
I think that is all now, I had better get sorted and de idea what to do today, it has been raining gently for most of the night and is still raining. Perfect weather for sewing and Quilting.
Sorry I missed the zoom stitching. Hopefully next time!
ReplyDeleteI have a grandson with severe special needs. He loves Cat in the Hat, and I have made him a quilt out of some of those same fabrics you used in your quilt.
ReplyDeleteLove that shot of the sun through the Cypress trees--and it was fun to get your outdoor tour of the Scrub Stitchin' site. We have little frogs around the farm that are very noisy at night, but I never see them during the day. I wonder if they look like your little green friend?
Thanks Sue. I’m so glad you could use it all up and should have enamours for the back too.
ReplyDeleteMore great pics - well except for the frogs - dont like them much either!
ReplyDeleteSo much color and joy in your post, Sue. Th pillowcase is bright and cheerful. The elephant is adorable and the frog - oh my goodness. It looks unreal - like a chocolate frog, colored green for St. Patrick's Day. I am glad she posed for you. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great get together!
ReplyDeleteIsn't zoom wonderful. You ladies from all over the world can chat.
ReplyDeleteThat frog photo is great. When I try to take a photo of ours they jump away
Wonderful quilting, and I love the frog! Hugs Valerie
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fabulous time. The second photos of grounds is gorgeous. The frog is such a lovely shade of green. It seemed very content to just be there :)

The frog is a little cutie. Nice that you saw it/them twice! That was such a fun idea, to have a quick zoom session...it was a nice glimpse into what was happening.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I've posted way to much on retreat but I took to many pics..... Lol.....I do like the Dr Seuss quilt ....
ReplyDeleteOooh I didn't see any frogs, lucky you to see a couple, I would have been excited too!...great pics to remember the retreat by...
ReplyDeleteI have a plastic frog, that looks just like your photo! I did make the zoom for 10 minutes and love your cat in the hat quilt
ReplyDeleteYou did well with your quilts and pillowcase. The frogs are rather cute.
ReplyDeleteDr Seus Quilt is the best!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought that frog wasn't even real because of the unnatural ground it is on.
