These ladies were around for the final photo
Today was pack up day, my machine was in the car so some hand stitching was done, hubby was ready to go by mid morning, so we headed off to Coonabarrabran.
We stopped for a coffee stop and driver change over, I grabbed the opportunity to get a photo of the clock tower and hotel.
We stayed in Parks over night, no photos as I didn't do anything other than a bit of hand stitching
Some amazing cloud the next day
The second night we stayed in Tocumwal on the Murray River, this cod was down beside the river.
I had a ride along a path on the river bank, lots of people camping on the other side
Off I go, actually the path only went to the old bridge, not long but was good to have look around.
Two WW2 guns, a memorial and a pine tree grown from a seed taken from lone Pine on the Gallipoli Peninsular.
The old bridge
And the view from the old bridge with some fishermen heading home up the river.
We got home the next day to find the renovations are well and truly under way
A round trip of 2260km!
Kitchen gone! And so it starts.
Happy stitching.
You have some marvellous, and long, road trips to meet up with those other talented girls. Worth every kilometre I would say
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing cloud transformation in your photo Sue. Great that you could break up the journey & stay along the way at nice places. Also great that they could pull your kitchen out while you were gone & not have to be there for the mess while trying to cook.
ReplyDeletelovely to have some stops on the way home.
ReplyDeletedid someone break in and steal your kitchen? lol
Hope it’s not long before the kitchen is finished.
