This last week has been a week of trying to cut fabric for a new quilt (not too successfully) and adding borders to existing quilt tops that have been waiting for a long time
This quilt top was given to me for Oncology, it has now been quilted and moved to the binding pile.
This quilt was made from left over charm packs, it has had a border added and is now in the to be quilted pile
This top was donated for Oncology, it has been trimmed and borders added, it is also in the quilting pile.
My piles are moving from one to the other slowly.
These blocks were given to me, they were left over from a quilt, it is now a flimsy but needs borders. Love the purple batiks in this one.
I have been asked to make a cowboy/horse theme quilt, I have some horse panels to use and am making blocks to add to the quilt
Some cowboy boot blocks, I need to make lots more.
This weeks Anthology block, some of the points do not meet up well, but I feel I am slowly getting better at the one and a half inch half square triangles.
Tomorrow I am off on retreat for part of the week, so I need to be cutting fabric for blocks and packing.
Happy stitching.
Nice work on moving the quilts along the line. Love those boots.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot happening on your production line Sue - great work on the 'gifted' quilts. Those cowboy boots are very cool, and I like your Anthology block too. I hope you have a great time at retreat!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're amazing Sue, with all those oncology quilts you turn out & the ones you quilt. That first one is really lovely. I think those cowboy boots look pretty amazing too ... just perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love those batik colours too! Well done with the quilts. You are a special gal finishing them for Oncology. Love the boots.
ReplyDeleteYour boot blocks look great
ReplyDeleteThree lovely donated quilts - I particularly like the first one, I love the way the pattern is subtle but still stands out. Lovely purple fabrics and those boots were made for walking! xx
ReplyDeleteLooks like you managed to make one pile smaller and another pile got taller.
ReplyDeleteYou have made good progress. I love the churn dash ones with the different colours as the backgrounds. A nice variation. The cowboy boots are turning out well.
ReplyDeleteYou've been busy! It's always a good feeling to move a quilt along in it's journey.
ReplyDeleteBig projects and you are doing so well with them. Fun boots!

ReplyDeleteI am sure they will get done and provide comfort to their recipients. Have a great weekend, Sue.

ReplyDeleteSue - I have said it before and I will say it again - you stun me with your ability to work so much into your day! I am just trying to catch up after our trip to the UK.
ReplyDeleteLove those boot blocks!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have been so so sew busy!
Is that your Chooky SAL churn dash?
I like that boot pattern better than the one I drew for a friend. This one seems easier! It's wonderful to see how many donation quilts you work on, and see them come to a finish. You seem pretty fast to me. Churn dash is always one of my favorite blocks.
