Tiki tour day 9- final day

Today we started out in Albury, visited a quilt shop
Some retail therapy was done there, was an amazing shop
Then we walked along the street

And found a shop with Angel wings in the window.
We then walked to Lincraft and had a look there.
Into the car and headed for

Ned Kelly country,  we got a stamp at the Information centre
From there we headed for Benella, but I somehow managed to put the wrong info in the google maps and we were driving down country dirt roads

And we ended up in Lurg!!!
There is NOTHING at Lurge!! How we ended up coming here I have no idea! Luckily we were not too far from Benalla.....ðŸĪŠ 🙄😎
Another stamp at the info centre, we were told about a church at Goorambat in amongst the painted silos, it was only 15 mins away so off we went and it was so worth it.
This is at the far end of the church and so beautiful.

Outside the church.
From there we were going to head to Euroa but the Info centre was closed so we headed straight for Craigeburn north of Tullamarine and found another quilt shop just before she closed. More retail therapy happened there ðŸĪ

On the way to the airport we saw the sun going down
We made it to the hotel and are checked in, Raewyn is packing her bags before we head downstairs for dinner

Tomorrow I drive off home.
Happy stitching.

Tiki tour day 8

Today we travelled on the freeway and dirt roads, had a little extra Tiki tour 😁
Fitsr stop Boorowa to do an Ad Lab along the main street
War memorial
Second hand book shop and sometimes wine bar!

One of the original shops
Old theatre and hall
We found a quilt in the window
Inside one of the pubs
old town hall
On the road now to Jugiong to do another Ad Lab
This town was rife with bush rangers and this statue remembers a policeman killed in the line of duty.
View from the lookout
Onwards now to Gundagai to the dog on the tucker box to do another AdLab
lots of refurbishment is happening here so not many photos
We then headed into Gundagai to get an Aussie passport stamp and to have lunch

One happy traveler, we found the family heirloom salt and pepper shaker!!
We then headed for the Ettamougah Pub - for guess what? Yes another Ad Lab 👏 😆

Tonight we are on Albury and it must be bell ringing night, the church bells have been pealing for a while now. Have been for a walk
Time to rest the tired feet!
Happy stitching.
