Tiki tour in reverse

Sadly Baradine is over, will do a show and tell post or three when we have better internet. Yesterday we drove from Baradine to Dubbo.
Last look at Camp Cypress
Hippopotamus Rock between Baradine and Coonabarabran
These planet models are along the highway and each has a geocache, so we had to stop 😁 thankfully Raewyn found it as I was about to give up.
The view out the window as we were driving
The next cache stop complete with orb spiders
I had to yell stop to Raewyn to stop her walking through the edge of a huge spider web. She was trying to get a better angle for a 📸!!
We found these painted screens in Gilgandra, while stopping for a cache.. they depict the history of the area.

We are now in Dubbo and today are heading off to the Zoo .
Have a good one.

Road Trip 2

From Forbes we followed a small map we had plus google directions - no worries I thought!
We went up the freeway,
We followed this caravan for a while and admired the paint work

Viewed the mountains from a distance

drove through a herd of cattle feeding by the road

It is so dry out here

Finally we found a sign!! Yes!!! And we turned onto Bramble Road

and it was 42 kms of this, graded but dirt road with patches of sandy stuff! Great views of the farms around though.

Then we were back onto seal. We got some petrol, a just in case measure after yesterday and went to the supermarket for some groceries and then to Camp Cypress.
this is the front gate

One of the animal sheds

Another shed.
All set for an afternoon of stitching and meeting and greeting.
