Bolarina, the man made lake you could go under the bridge and on the other side was a larger lake for all kinds of water sports

back on Bulcock Street, there were many plaques along this street. Part of this street was blocked off when we were there, they were setting up for a Winter Solstice fair and concert, lots of bands were setting up their equipment.

Eumundi

 Hubby and I went out to Eumundi for a drive one afternoon, It is a beautiful old town famous for the markets there, non on the day we were there but some people were setting their tents up.

beautiful stag/elk horn in the park. These ferns were all over the town and in the big trees - the big trees all had plaques under them and formed the memorial drive, most relating to WW1 people.

Out and about

 I had several days/mornings out with Sue looking for Adventure Labs - we went to Bribie Island, I was expecting a sandy island as it is not very big but it is just like another suburb - one area looked very up market with canals, huge houses and boats tied up at the dock.

we walked lots of steps - me in some new sandals which was a mistake as I ended up with huge blisters!

Rain showers came and went and we had to walk over and through puddles along the path

This was in a different area on the Island, near the RSL were two wonderful parks with lots of memorial stones

Coolum

 Last night we returned from 10 days holiday in Coolum Queensland. Hubby spent some of the days with his friend at Perigian Springs and I was out and about with Sue the friends wife.

A walk along the beach at Coolum. The first day was overcast, the next sunny. Most of the time there we had cooler weather 20-21 deg C and often rain showers.

the track was very rough in some parts because of heavy rain

The question was about a date carved in to a stone, I couldn't find the stone but as the answer was multi choice I guessed!! Can't walk all the way up here and not get the answer!

Catching up once again

 Time is roaring past for me this year, here we are June already.

Things have been happening here

This little quilt is finished

This KOGO blanket is finished, another is having squares sewn together

time has been spent at the playground (this is from a few weeks ago, I forgot the camera yesterday)

Here he is with a new haircut, he got half a hair cut and decided that was enough, so Mum had to try and finish it off at home. His jumping has really improved and he loves the trampoline.

The first speaker was Emma Jean Jansen and she showed us many of her beautiful quilts and explained her method of making and quilting. I didn't get quilt photos as we were at the side and they whipped through quickly.

The second speaker was Jodi Carlton from RicRac, she was a very entertaining speaker and her felt toys are just beautiful.

I was sitting at the table on the very end here #13.

These were the traders and yes some purchasing was done!

The lake as I was heading back to the car. The Quilt In is held at the Bowling Club and it is a great venue.

Last week I had a couple of late afternoon walks

The water was very calm and quiet

and I watched the moon come up over the water

Last week we also had the grand fur babies staying

Today I sewed and unsewed the foundation paper pieced block three times - it is finally finished, not perfect as it should be, but finished.

It was quite a challenge.

Sashiko is still being done, has taken a back seat to the KOGO blankets just now but more will happen next week.

I decided to introduce some colour. I also am not happy with the thread that came with the panel, cotton Japanese Sashiko  thread as it splits and doesn't look good, still thinking about that one, any suggestions will he gratefully received.

I think that is enough for me just now, we are off to Queensland next week to try and find some warmer weather.
