I collected the Cat Book Reading quilt from Joan at Faraway Quilts..she very kindly did the quilting for me Saturday morning, she didn't want me putting the moz on her machine!!
It has come up really well. Very happy.
Another Book reading quilt got some very basic quilting yesterday
the Cats got some binding..I put some furniture fabric on the back of this quilt..$4.00 on special at Lincraft, it has made the quilt heavy, but will be great for going on the floor, as it needs to do.
today I am set up for some serious binding sewing...have some sustenance...
which has been sussed out by the Supervisor...sigh...now I have to share!!
Happy sewing.
Wonderful quilts and wonderful idea. That definitely is a hopeful look on your furry friends face lol!
ReplyDeleteYou sure have been busy Sue. How wonderful to sit & sew binding on while you have that amazing view to look out at. See the Supervisor all ready & waiting for you!
ReplyDeleteTwo great Book quilts.. I'm a lazy lady and don't hand sew bindings, do them on the machine...
ReplyDeleteDid the supervisor get a bit ???
Ooo I particularly love the cat quilt. Great find with the backing. Just purrrfect.( Sorry, so corny.) Hope you got your binding done under such strict supervision.
ReplyDeleteGood stitching ahead. Spotlight has got their clearance on special. Buy 3 or more metres and get it for half the naked down price. Bought 23 metres @ $3 pm. Great for backings and borders.
