Silo and building paintings, this was a local man who ran a bus and taxi service, his son has now taken over.
I found two caches, it was too hot 🔥 to keep looking for them today (Saturday) as it is 34 deg c here today.
We drove to Murtoa to collect David's garden sculpture, as he said, it was a long way to drive for a lump of concrete!!
We stopped briefly in Rapunuyp for a photo stop
This one too. I had a browse at the local Art Gallery and found a hand made bird cage for the aviary, it will have a hanging plant in it eventually.
Back to the cabin now for a cuppa right underneath the air con.
Home tomorrow.
Happy stitching.
It sounds hot there. Another lovely town you visited. Is that Lionel Rose painted on the building? My goodness, so lifelike. Your husband makes me laugh ..a lump of concrete, indeed
ReplyDeleteStill loving those murals and the old buildings. The gum lined road is lovely. I heard that a gum forest down in WA was recently wiped out by fire. Such a shame. We had been there years ago. They were majestic
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying your trip in spite of the heat. You saw some wonderful buildings and I love all of the paintings and carvings. Hoe you were able to cool down under the AC. Have a safe journey home!
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely to be able to jump in the car and just go. Do we get to see "the lump of concrete"? Sometimes a non-chatty friend can be good.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy taking these journeys with you. Everything appeals to me--the old buildings, the amazing art, and the beautiful scenery.
ReplyDeleteI have never done any geocaching, but there is a cache spot on the dirt road I take on some of my walks, and I am always curious to see how many times I encounter people looking for it. I never give it away. :)
Lovely trip out....
