Retreat day 3

Today was the last day and I was a bit tired. The neighbouring house, about 500m away had loud music going all night, when I say all night, it started at about 8pm and didn't stop until 8am. Most of us were really tired from lack of sleep.  Still done sewing was done
two blocks for the challenge at Bellarine quilters,  a modern  quilt with equilateral triangles. There is a third block but my tired brain said No.
I left about 1pm and went to the Botanic Gardens at Daylesford to do an Adventure Lab.
there was a clue behind here, thank goodness I didn't need to climb up!!
Wombat statues on Wombat Hill
From there I drove to Ballan and got a chai and did an Adventure Lab there
old building in the main street
the Post Office
Anglican Church
This next place used to be a home, the whole wall was done in mosaic in all kinds of found things, not a lot remains now sadly

Doesn't the gate draw you inside?

                                                               Still is lovely to see.
Today I have been to see Finn
And the grand fur babies have been over for a play

I am off to take the fur babies home
Happy stitching.

  2. Yikes, equilateral triangles! My brain would have ceased to compute! Clever you... They are looking good. The gate and mosaic are so lovely. How spectacular the wall would've looked once upon a time covered in mosaics. Aww ..look at your Finn; how very sweet he is.

  3. Ugh, inconsiderate neighbours. At least you got some sewing done.
    Finn is still adorable.

  7. I think I would have waddled over there in my jammies and told them to turn it down. I mean, really, don't you just hate disrespect? Thank goodness a few Finn minutes can cure all.

  9. Loved the pics of the Post Office & the mosaic wall - how interesting.

Darn about the noisy neighbours - that really is too much - past midnight is a no-no!

The triangles have such great colour.

  11. What a pain about the neighbours and their noise.......but lucky you to have a bonus retreat to make up the numbers. You got heaps done! You really churn the Aussie Hero quilts out :-) The Anthology blocks are coming along nicely.
