I started off with a block for the Anthology quilt, I think I have about 30ish to go. I really want to get these finished.
Yesterday I pinned the coloured squares onto the corners of the blue blocks and today they were sewn in place and the last two rows were sewn on. The quilt flimsy is finished except for some kind of border. I don't have any of the original fabric so will have to come up with something.
I have been quilting the green strippy quilt made by Sue J, some of us made blocks for the last Gisborne retreat. It has gone together really well. The quilting is done , just needs trimming back now ready for binding and all the endy threads bits sewn in. That will keep me busy tonight!! 😁
A busy couple of days Sue. The star quilt top is great, I guess any bright coloured fabric would work for the border. xx
The quilt that is going to Oncology is a wonderful one. Love the pattern and colours. Love the green strippy quilt, too. You are a busy lady, Sue.
You got to work on some very pretty quilts.
Great block and I understand you'll look forward to the end of these. You've been working on them a long time.
Lovely flimsy for Oncology.
Hope you don't get too hot sewing away those threads.
The person who receives that star quilt will love it!
those are lovely quilts you are working on..... you have had a busy week...
Always lovely to visit you Sue... & great work on the quilt.
How many blocks in total are there for the Anthology quilt? You have already made several. That Oncology quilt is quite stunning so I hope you manage to find some suitable fabric to finish it. Any colours you need? I wish I could machine quilt .
You still did lots. The oncology quilt is really effective
I, too, forgot all about FNwF! I need to put all the dates in my diary - and then remember to check my diary!!! I do like that Anthology block. The flimsy for Oncology is really cool. Hope you had success with all your ends...a tiresome task at the end of a quilt!
You've had some busy sewing days recently. I like the colors in your Oncology quilt.
Pretty anthology block. That Oncology quilt is a very effective design.
Love the oncology quilt. It's a great pattern. I forgot FNWF too x
The black & coloured oncology quilt looks great - just about any colour border would go with it.
You do a good job finishing off other people's tops and fixing errors, well done
