Chookshed Stitchers Challenge and FNWF and life

This quilt was my January challenge and it is finally finished. The quilt is designed by Sonya Else an artist from Rochester, Vic. Sonya came and talked to the Guild on Saturday so it was good motivation for me to get the quilt finished. Nothing like a deadline!! She is an amazing creative person, she has an idea and then works out how to create it, a few photos of her works are below
I dont know if these photos are working because as I am trying to make this post I can see what I am typing but not the photos, I am getting rows of letters and numbers and symbols!! This months challenge is the Hatched and Patched project we were given at Baradine last year - again another deadline to get me moving!! I have only had a year!!!
Progress so far happened on FNWF ( I forgot to take a photo) and yesterday at Guild
I have been spending some time with Finn
At home playing with water, the serious job of attaching a baby chino and at the playground, always a beautiful view from there. Last week we celebrated our 41st anniversary and went to Jack Rabbit for lunch - the views were stunning
I have also finished a Wasgij
The challenge is what the horse can see
Today I have finished the binding on this quilt, kindly quilted by Tracee of Hummingbird Quilting in Gisborne
Love this fabric. Well that is me updated for now, I will publish and hope it works - happy stitching.

  1. Lots to see in this post Sue. Yes your photos came out great! Sonya is a very talented quilter for sure. Finn is growing up so fast! I love watching them with their "water play" & using their imaginations. Congratulations on your anniversary Sue - well done! How special
The sewing caddy you are working on looks wonderful - I love those colours. Have a great week Sue - the computer has decided to actually work for 5 minutes (the new one has arrived, currently sitting on lounge floor in boxes waiting for eldest son!!)😉 xx

  9. What a beautiful finish for your January challenge. Sonya's designs are incredible!
Finn will either keep you young, or make you painfully aware of how you are not young anymore! LOL
    Congrats on your anniversary!
That is an interesting puzzle concept. I am struggling with one and I know exactly what it is supposed to be. Yours puts a whole new twist on the idea of "puzzle".
Love the Aussie animal quilt. I saw some of them just recently. :)

  13. Did I say congratulations on your 41st anniversary or not? Possibly not, so Happy Anniversary in a belated sort of way!!! Looks like a lovely spot for celebrating. I meant to get a closer look at your finished quilt at SS - but didn't - it's beautiful - well done on the lover-ly finish - it looks like a lot of work!
