I have finished one of the Christmas quilts to go to the special care nursery at SJOG
I have sewn together one of the charm packs I found at the Albury (I think) quilt shop Raewyn will correct me if I have the wrong place 😉 plus some batik fabric
It looked a bit bland so I added a purple border and then used up the rest of the batiks
One patchy quilt top done. Happy the top is sewn together and the fabric hasn't taken up residence on the fabric shelves!
This one let me hand feed it for a little while , it enjoyed the seed cereal topper.
I am off to Gisborne next week for a retreat 8 of us to sew up a storm!!
Happy stitching
Oh Finn is such a cute little fella....
ReplyDeleteThat's for taking me on your trip to and from Scrub Stitching and showing me all the fun time you had.
You have such a busy life, Sue. Another quilt retreat...how wonderful! That view from your deck is a calm and lovely one. Fabulous the birdlife visit you. Lots of colourful fabrics in the quilt. The purple border was a good idea.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful retreat!!
ReplyDeleteAren't young kids delightful and darn clever lol
Looks like you hit the ground running when you returned, Sue. Cute Finn playing with your phone and well done on the quilt finishes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you all have a fabulous time at your Gisborne retreat.
ReplyDeleteYour phone seems quite entertaining! You have a smart grandson. Your retreats always look so fun!
ReplyDeleteI think Aussie birds are so colorful and beautiful as is your view of the ocean.
ReplyDeleteThe border on the charm pack quilt made all the difference. It has a 3 dimensional look to it.
Kids of today just seem to know how to use technology right from the get go. Some pretty visitors to your deck.
