Word photo week

It is that time again for the word photo challenge...the word this week is HEAT...something we are experiencing today!! Phew!!!
My photo is a bit back to front as the sun was behind the clouds when I had a walk this morning so it is a lack of HEAT!!

This week is the last of our photo challenge organised by Sharyn next year we move on to a monthly challenge...pop over and have a look, maybe you might like to join in next year?? Could be a good idea! There are 5 words to finish up this week

BALL...is the first one....I chose this pincushion the lovely and talented Tracee made for my birthday this year...I think the centre could be called a BALL.

The next word is STONED....I chose this garden at St Leonard's ...it is STONED all over.

The next word is PAST...here is a blast from the PAST.....my sister and I......I think I was 12/18 months old....photo isn't dated so I do not know for sure....love the Golly my grandmother made for me.

The next word is CELEBRATE....could not go past this photo of my lovely sewing buddies...we got together to CELEBRATE Christmas.

And the last word ( I can hear your sigh of relief from here!!) is TRACK...one of the many I see in the sandy path when Tupai and I go for a walk at the beach. We have three words for the photo challenge this week, I think there is only one week left after this one, then we are done! So the words for this week are HANDY, YARN and CHIP.

this HANDY little gadget was given to me a few years ago...it is for slicing avocado 

here it is in action....very HANDY!!

52 weeks word photo challenge

I believe it is now week 44 of this challenge and we are nearly at the end....we have two photos for this week, CHAIR and TOE.....so the CHAIR is an old one we inherited from DH's grandparents and is usually covered with fabric, patterns, things I haven't put away yet...lol...but these days it is clear and can actually be sat in! Woo hoo!!

and it is quite comfortable to sit in, now that I can!! Lol!!

this believe it or not is a TOE.....of a lion on a stained glass window we have....was designed by DH's father...and special to us....and because it means nothing like this....

I have been very slack and not done my photo challenge for several weeks now but today I am back!!
The current weeks word is fish and I have been sitting here wondering what I could do and up on the wall is a painting of fish!! Light bulb moment!!! (My excuse is I am still tired!!! Lol!!!) Any excuse is a good excuse!!

This is a painting done by DH's sister...pretty good huh!!

Home again!! and 52 weeks word photo challenge

Well we had the best day of the weekend yesterday - I spent it having a loooong walk to Indented Head boat ramp and back, no blisters this time! Yay!! Then sat in the sun and read books on the back deck until the sun went in...bliss...then had fish and chips for dinner....more bliss....

But on to serious stuff......the word this week for the photo challenge is TRIO...so when I spotted these birds, I thought perfect...I had to zoom in so it is a little fuzzy as I always seem to move the camera when I zoom......

A TRIO of birds on a TRIO of posts and I just noticed a TRIO of birds on a rock too!!

The word for this week is COTTON, so I decided to go with what I could see out the window...which was the COTTON tail of this bunny hopping across the lawn.....

this one had settled down near the old lavender bush to munch on the grass.....you can just see a little of it's COTTON tail.

Well this photo should have been up here on Sunday (last weekend) but I have been slack, so today I tried to get a photo of Tupai, as the word for the week is HEAD, and I think he has a cute head but........

peeked at me to see if I was still there.....

then shut his eyes...probably hoping I would just go away or scratch his back...he would probably prefer the latter!! Anyway this was the best I could get for this weeks word HEAD!! My model would not cooperate!!

The word for this week is LIGHTS - I thought about all the lights we have in the house........then thought fairy lights would be nice...we don't have any lol!!......then I heard on the news that the moon was the closest to earth it had been for a long time.....and some other facts but by them I was running to get the camera and have a look for this moon......big bright moon.....well I tried, but didn't have a huge amount of success, I think the camera got confused as to what it was focusing on...but anyway I thought I would share my LIGHTS in the sky...

believe it or not this is the moon!! Great collection of fuzzy lights!! Lol!!

...fabric!!! Nothing like a FAN of new fabric!!

I have my act back together - well almost - this week and have managed a photo for the challenge - the word this week is TORCH......

so here are the two torches I could find in the house....my little wind up one and the regular battery using yellow one.

I am late again this week with the photo challenge...the word this week is CALM....I wanted to get a photo of water as I always find it calming but didn't get one so decided to use this photo instead

this is the male orangutan at Adelaide Zoo, he ambled out wearing his blanket, climbed up onto a feeding platform and sat and watched what was happening..he was so CALM.

The word for this week is PACKAGE...and luckily one came in the mail...I also posted one off but forgot to take a photo!! Duh!! The usual padded bag...

The word for this week is RED, well lots of things are RED coloured, actually as I sit and write this there is nothing RED on the table!! The RED I like the most is the colour you get in the sunrise or sunset, so luckily after a grey, windy rainy day yesterday, the sun came out a little just before it set and I took a couple of photos....probably more pink that RED but here we go

Maybe I will try something else...

The word for this week is LIFT.....many thoughts passed through my mind ...none of them practical for getting a photo this week, then one just happened!

What do you do when you have had a magnificent dessert, really enjoyed it and it is all gone??? You LIFT up the plate and lick off the last little bits!!! That's what!!!  Lol!!

As this was taken on retreat the person has to remain incognito!!

I am trying to get a photo from the camera to the blog, something I do regularly ---and do you think I can do it today? NO!! I don''t know what I am doing wrong...so  frustrating!!!!
I am going to eat my dinner instead and try again tomorrow!!

Ha!!!!! I managed to get the photo in a round about way!!!

The word for this week is PUMP - actually it might be last week - I am a bit behind here. Anyway I found these lurking under the bed - they are equipment I am told for you to PUMP iron!! (Or get exercise.) You can see they  have attracted dust not someone to exercise!! Lol!! 

Off for dinner!!
