Here I am once again!

The last month has whizzed by, I have been doing things but when I look back at my photos there isn't much to show!

I made a little taggie for Finn, I don't think I put enough taggies in it, I have just looked at Susan's and think I should have had a few more. Not to worry he seem to like it!
I have made a lighthouse quilt for friends on the Sunshine Coast, they used to work in lighthouses years back

Joan has quilted it for me in a lovely wave pattern, next job is to sew on the binding.

Carole over at My Carolina Home is having a quilt drive , you can read about it on her blog, I thought I would use up some orphan blocks languishing in my block holder, these started as a hand sewn quilt, a pattern came out each month, I cant remember the magazine now, but it might have been Today's Quilter.

I got out the blocks, made them into little quilts, quilted and bound them and found they were too big, I hadn't read the requirements properly, so now I will need to find another home for them. They are too big to be sent to Carole.
I signed up last Friday for a fundraiser with the BOS Australia group  to try and walk 57,000 steps a week
Thank you to the lovely people who have sponsored me, great motivation to keep walking!
Up until yesterday I have done 57,308 steps! Pretty happy with that. I was late starting this but will continue until the end of the month.
I have finally worked out how to send photos from my phone to the lap top (I think)

These photos are from Portarlington and Clifton Springs, I was walking and looking for geocaches, which is great motivation for me!!

These are the start of the filler blocks I need to make for the Anthology quilt, I have finished all the blocks, I just need to find the last photo!
Block 182.

I will put this into drafts as I have to go and get dinner!
Maybe I can finish this on the phone

Mill Rosie December gathering

I had a great day at Mill Rosie catch up yesterday - lots of laughter and chatting....not a lot of sewing!! This is the swap I made

We were to make something by Bronwyn Hayes for the swap, I chose this stitchery and then made it into a wall hanging. We had a Bad Santa swap, you can see what happens here, but everyone loved their parcels they opened and very few wanted to swap, you can see some photos at Sharon's blog here.

Earlier in the year we got to take home orphan blocks from Mill Rose and the instruction was to make them into something...I had intended to put the two chooks together but it didn't turn out that way, so Tania taught me foundation piecing and the chooky block above became a table runner and the chook below a tea cosie!

Here are a few photos of the Mill Rosie catch up...lots will be on other blogs...
the swap I got from the lovely Annie

Anne with the swap made by Marg..she does beautiful stiitchery!

Bad Santa is plotting over there...no one wants to swap!!! Marina said NO!!! NO!!! No way!! but then Marg swapped and then Annie swapped with Marg and I heard today that Annie swapped with Marina on the way home because she saw how much Marina liked the wall hanging! What a lovely lady!!! Rosalie had her apron firmly tied to her body!!!! No swapping there! Lol!!

Marg with her goodies before swapping!

"No, No" says Marina!! Lol!!

And here was the pile of beautiful swap items, this is such a clever group of people! Thank you Barb for taking the photo from on the chair!!

It was a wonderful day, I had a great time....roll on February when the next day comes around!!
Happy sewing!
