Yarn bombing

I went for a walk Monday morning to the St Leonard's shopping centre and found that someone had yarn bombed the trees and some poles along the road - it took me a little while to realise that it was for Christmas!! Nothing slow about me!! Lol!!

Was a very windy morning on Monday with showers threatening and lots of waves breaking on the beach - love that sound - really good day for walking!

Yarn bombing 2

We went to the park this morning to a place where we had seen little white crochet hearts on a bridge.....but sadly they were gone, we had planned to add our flowers to the hearts,  but we decided to add some  decoration of our own anyway!!

I saw this tree in the city today, we drove past so didn't have the chance for a closer look, but it was bandaged from ground to tips of branches and flowers around the trunk

the message said "Toot for the tree" - maybe it is to be cut down? Kind of fitting with the yarn bombing that we have been doing.

On our walks in the park we have noticed little crochet hearts attached to things, like the Tane Mahuta statue (or what is left of it - some idiot stole the head, twice, so we just have the base now)

this is too far away but the crochet heart is near the base

here!! So we thought we would add to the little heart,

Ollie being an assistant!! Boy these humans do strange things to dogs - I am sure he is thinking, but he was very patient with us!!
