Progress

well, progress of a sort, I have sewn some more One Block Wednesday blocks, so I felt like I had caught up, but today is Wednesday so now I am not sure if I have or not!!
Woo hoo 24 done!! Fiona over at BubzRugz is also doing this sew along....it is great to have company. Elyte of Tea, fabric and other things is also sewing along, but this month is busy for her so she will catch up later.

I had my system all set up, pieces laid out ready to sew, should have been straight forward but

I still managed to sew wrong bits together and some pieces in completely in the wrong place! Happily they are all fixed now.

The binding is finished on this quilt for others.

The Supervisor and i had a walk along the beach yesterday morning, it was overcast and we got caught in a rain shower but it was a beautiful morning.

A couple of weeks ago I went to Portarlington for sit and sew and parked near this tree that I am now calling a Corella tree, it is not a good photo but the tree is laden with Corellas, I don't know what was on the tree but it must have tasted pretty good. The birds on the ground were eating the bits that were dropped.

I was being watched while I took photos.
I am off now to write a couple of letters.
Happy stitching.

  2. I love that quilt! How many more blocks to go? Had to laugh about being organised but still stuffing up. Nice to know someone else does it lol. Your birds seem to be having a feast and look quite content with full bellies.

  4. You have made great progress and those blocks look like the beginning of a lovely quilt.
I am not as well organised on my block sewing as you are.
Those corellas have been feasting on trees locally too.

  5. the blocks are great.... I also had a little bit of reversing to do! Its amazing how much concentration is needed for such a simple block! Lovely corella's - they can make a mess.. and a noise but I love them. HOw lovely to have a walk at the beach AND a rain shower!
