One for me and one for Ingrid, not for hubby as he suggested!!
I went for a walk down to the PO this morning
Paying close attention, I was surprised not one of the pelicans tried to pinch any fish which was in a container right in front of them on the sand (behind the wall).
It was a great morning for a walk.
So today I have cut out the next block for the BOM from the Today's Quilter magazine.
cut and ready to sew.
this project saw the light of day once again, I need to get on with it!
This week in the evenings I have finished 4 stars.
Mr Supervisor got a bit hot today, but he is good and is supervising as per usual.
The desert rose is still blooming and looking wonderful, more buds on the way.
This morning I wanted to take a photo of the Aussie Hero quilt before mailing it off, my helper wasn't really helping....
He is a challenge!!
Finally!!
Pizza has been ordered and is on it's way so I think a G & T might be in order.
Happy stitching.
The photo of the Supervisor is precious! Great Minion finish. I love the hexies and the stars!
ReplyDeletePutting up with your helper/not must be a challenge.. haha. Good finish and the pelicans look fun.
ReplyDeleteI was reading and wondering where the supervisor was until I got to his photograph. I think I would sack the helper and get a new one lol :) (Don't tell him!)
ReplyDeletewell done with the bags. I have never tried but I understand a Teflon foot is the trick for the plastic sewing. You need to invest in some training for your helper... haha....gotta love a man who makes you laugh. Lots of different projects happening... I feel right at home here...
ReplyDeleteHugz
Another great Aussie hero quilt and ya gotta love a good helper They are hard to come by
ReplyDeleteThe desert rose is beautiful
The bags look great Sue & what a wonderful idea for the car! I think anything like this is so handy now. Am going to make one for Alec for his wet clothes from Daycare & also his togs. Your Aussie Hero quilt looks great .. you do such a good job on these. Enjoy your G & T Sue .. pizza sounds wonderful! Love having a night off cooking.
ReplyDeleteLOL I think hubby is one is a million hehehe. Well done making those bags. I wouldn't even attempt sewing plastic. Gee, those pelicans are good,. If they were cats it would be a totally different story LOL.
ReplyDeleteYour rubbish bag is a great idea. Lots of other lovlies too and a man with a sense of humour!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the bag....annoys me that I have no where go hang one in our car! The pelicans must be on a winner to be so well behaved. Beautiful Supervisor! Giggling at the poor help at your place....the quilt is wonderful. Love your projects and I am STILL NOT looking at those gorgeous stars!
ReplyDeleteGood job with the rubbish bags...
ReplyDeleteSew nice to see the patient Pelicans on your beautiful walk...
Just love your helper Hahaha!!! Cute quilt
Hi Sue, yes I'm back to blog reading!
ReplyDeleteGreat to have a scroll down your blog for a bit & see all your lovely news and work.
One Block Wednesday looks like a good idea, a little progress each week does add up; your blocks are lovely, those fabrics are fab.
x
I am laughing my head off at your "helper"! They make our days brighter even when they don't follow instructions! And supervisor is always adorable. I am guessing the pelicans have been 'trained' well not to try and snatch the good fish! Enjoy the rest of your week!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing another Aussie Hero Quilt.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics of the pelicans.
Good to see you still had some spare time to sew some little pieces together.
I love my car rubbish bag especially the jelly bean lining! Wonderful pop of colour! It’s hanging proudly from the car headrest now...thank you so much Sue! As for the helper...the supervisor is much more of a help :-)) The desert rose is just stunning and so happy in its big pot. You’re always such an inspiration with all your projects!
ReplyDeleteLovely post. Hehe, great to see what you've been doing. Love your rubbish bags! Having some catch up reading time this morning :-)
ReplyDeleteI am sure the Aussie Hero quilt will be loved. The pelicans are a beautiful smart bird . I have just seen the movie "Storm Boy". The cheeky pelicans.
