Continuing on

Yesterday I set forth from Auckland and drove thru driving rain and sunshine and more rain, along windy roads behind logging trucks to Whangarei. I stopped at a lookout over to the Kaipara Harbour
The rain shower arrived the same time as me.

A little bit clearer now, there was a geocache here so I had a look and found that too.

This little creek was near a place I stopped, there has been so much rain here, there is flooding in paddocks and the streams and creeks are all high.
I stopped for a visit and lunch with the lovely Leeanne, we had a great catch up and chat. We had fun trying to take a selfie...much too close a photo for me
I was complaining about my many wrinkles, Leeanne said they were my wisdom lines!! How good is that!! I must be very wise!!! 😆😆 Leeanne quilted two quilts for me a while back, her quilting is amazing!!
From there I carried on to the west of Whangarei to stay with another blogging buddy, Raewyn.  There was a beautiful sunset last night here but first the view from the deck here, milking was taking place
Below is Nigel who was posing near the flower vase

And the sun going down.

Today I slept in while farm work happened, but after breakfast went out with Raewyn to feed the calves
Well we went and I watched and Raewyn fed the calves...

How cute is this one

And this one

This one thinks Raewyn is a feeding station!!
How good is this view? ? Beautiful and green and peaceful. I am so lucky to be able to stay here.
Off to do some stitching..I forgot I finished two stars last night, maybe a photo tomorrow.
Happy stitching.
