Bed runner

The last few days I have been putting together a bed runner and backing
this will be the backing as I don't have enough black to make it all plain

this is the bed runner front, beautiful fabrics from Canada.

and I digress to show you the flowers on the back deck!

The roses are beautiful and all scented. So nice to sit near.

This afternoon I went to see Joan and we had a play on her new quilting machine, she had not done free motion before but now is a convert! Yay!!

We had a little play with the waterfall

Joans little dog Mitsy was there to help, at one stage I dropped the pincushion and Mitsy grabbed it and was off..a chase to get it back followed!!

And on the dog theme we went to #1 sons place yesterday afternoon and I got to play with Hank their new puppy, Hank is 9 months old. He loves sitting on your knee!
Now I am off to sit on the couch and be a blob! And to enjoy a Sloe Gin!
Happy evening.

  4. Exciting bed runner. For you to keep? I’d love to play on a long arm! Your yarnlooks so pretty. I wish is wasn’t winter, here. Even in Tx, it’s a bit on the chilly side.

  5. Great fabric in the runner - many beautiful things to think about. Do you have a white bedspread or quilt that will go under it? Or is it a gift? I missed that, if so. The first rose bush you showed reminds me so much of my mother's Peace rose, only this is darker. Probably called something like Fireworks! It is so beautiful. I buy roses based on scent and our nurseries don't carry many with scent these days. I guess that's a cost of hybrids. =P If those are your feet at the bottom, I love your sandals! Freehand quilting on a longarm! My favorite thing. I really miss that. I'm so glad you had fun playing. Have a great weekend!

  6. Great runner, I love backings that have been sewn to use up the fabrics … makes it double sided. Great you have access to a longarm.... fun to play with and even better you converted someone to free range...
