The binding is sewn onto another donated quilt for the St John of God Oncology dept
I hope to deliver some of these next Friday.
It is a beautiful quilt.
Ingrid has made this beautiful cross stitch whale, and did the binding on it yesterday.
We had a walk to the pier yesterday, Ingrid and Jasper running back to meet me.
This pelican posed beautifully on top of the light pole for me!!
This one was happily perched on a rock
some grooming was happening
watching and waiting for a feed
On our way back this man was feeding the birds, pelicans and sea gulls were all hoping for a feed.
Last night I finished up 27 One Block Wednesday blocks, I am still behind, but will catch up in time.
The Supervisor was wondering what I was up to, he has been close by my side all day.
This afternoon I sewed the binding onto another oncology quilt, yay, another ready to be delivered to the hospital.
My new mug rug, made by Ingrid, her second attempt! How special is that? A new scissor keep Ingrid found at AQC, I am becoming very colour coordinated!! And of course refreshment is necessary.
I had better go and bring in the washing and then return to some sewing before dinner is required.
Happy sewing.
OK... I just love that brown quilt! Simple but so effective. Drool over the whale. Pelicans! OMGosh what gorgeous birds... so sad we don't have them here. I have two 'supervisors' lol. Hope you had an awesome Easter babe.
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts made for the hospital are great patterns especially for a male.
ReplyDeleteLove the Pelican photos

The quilts will be gratefully received by the hospital I’m sure. The patterns are perfect. I love your pelican photos. It looks like you had lovely autumn weather. Goo Ingrid with her creations. I hope she is proud of her achievements.
ReplyDeleteThe lovely quilts will be so appreciated! I love watching the pelicans. I think Supervisor maybe afraid that you will disappear again if he doesn't keep an eye on you xx
ReplyDeleteYou are doing very well with finishing those quilts. Pelicans are amazing birds. I love watching them.
ReplyDeleteGosh Sue - you keep so busy! That really is a gorgeous quilt you've just completed. And the Pelican photos are beautiful - such good shots! Well done on your OBW blocks - the new fabrics seem to be working in well - I still haven't even started mine - I think I'm a bit late now; I'd never catch up! I love that picture of the Supervisor!!

ReplyDeleteYou seem to achieve heaps Sue. Those clear blue skies look wonderful - we had one of those days yesterday & I went for a big long walk to enjoy the day. I think the Supervisor is not leaving your side in case you go away again perhaps?
ReplyDeleteI admire you, working so hard so that others will have quilts! I always love seeing the Supervisor!
