This tree is amazing, the root system is really unusual.
There were many different ginger plants, some in flower.
We went on a little train ride around the property, this bird, maybe a heron, was in the gardens.
This water dragon was sitting in the garden bed enjoying the sun.
We had to have the tourist photo of course! !
And another one 😆 from the ginger factory we went over the road to the nut shop, there were macadamia nuts in any way you could imagine. I came out with chocolate covered nuts, salt and vinegar flavoured macadamias, which are very yum, and a bag of mixed nuts! That was a great place to visit.
From there we drove down the freeway and came out on the coast at Mooloolaba
These guys were busy building a stone stack, but I think the incoming tide was against them.
We had a wander along the beach, tried out the water... toes only.....it was cold!! 😲
There were four paragliders appearing and disappearing over the headland in the distance.
This stone stack seems permanent as the waves were not affecting it at all.
This statue was in memory of Steve Irwin, great likeness of him and his children and the crocodile had a big smile!!
Aftern seeing this we headed home.
Last day here today, then home we go.
See you later.
The ginger factory is a fun place to visit …. and I love those nuts there... I remember coming out with quite a few different ones too!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen that statue... have a lovely last day.... hinterland is beautiful
