Local people bollards.
For the Adventure Labs I had to answer a question at each bollard, for example the child bollard was holding a birds nest and I had to count the number of eggs in it. I walked 4.5 km this day, my feet sure knew it! Once again David was at outpatients.
I rode my bike to Indented head one morning
the pelicans were waiting for food at the fish cleaning table
busy at the main beach
Looking form Indented Heads back to St Leonards

I stopped at Geelong on my way home from the airport for a wander, fresh air and to finish an Adventure Lab
The Geelong to the city ferry
What a peaceful way to spend the afternoon!!
Happy stitching.
Great weather to get out and about. Sometimes my photos load backwards also. I don’t know why or how to prevent it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful area. Always love seeing your photos. Spent a lot of time around Portarlington, Indented Heads and St Leonard’s in my childhood.
ReplyDeleteWe loved the Geelong waterfront when we visited many years ago. We were there for the Ulysses Club AGM motorcycle rally and we’re at the unveiling of the “Old No 1” motorcyclist bollard. It is an interpretation of the man who started off the club.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting to visit your community through your eyes (and lens)....you are clocing up some miles!
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely memories for you. Those bollard characters are fun.
ReplyDeletelovely pictures, you do find fun things to do on your walks... unusual hoya you spotted... hope David is doing ok....

Sue - these bollards are stunning. Shouldn't every city be required to paint/carve/decorate their bollards? Just think of the opportunities for artists, and to create scavenger hunts for kids (and adults like you) - the possibilities are endless! I enjoyed seeing some photos with sun - we are so, so gray right now!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tour around your part of the world Sue, been through Geelong, but was on the train and it didn't stop!
ReplyDeleteI am jealous. Well, I am glad that you are having fun in the gorgeous weather. Her in the US, I am waiting for snow or spring - whichever comes first. It has been cold but no snow yet. Also saw the "news" on IG so came here looking for pictures. I am sure they are coming. Congratulations to you and many blessings to the little one.
ReplyDeleteI love the way they have done the bollards
