Lake Burrumbeet

We jave been staying at Lake Burrumbeet for the last few days, we decided to have a little holiday to celebrate our 40th wedding  anniversary.
Who knew when I met David 44 years ago on a Top Beck long weekend tour to see the tulips in Amsterdam, we would find ourselves here.
Our youthful selves in New Zealand, c 1981
My anniversary surprise 😮 plus a beautiful ruby ring.
Blogger wants the photo to go upside down!! I will try and fix it once I get back to the laptop.
Our anniversary dinner last night near Lake Wendouree in Ballarat.
We have had very hot weather every day here, 36 deg C , that has given us some beautiful sunsets

Some stitching has happened here
And
And a little letter writing
We head home tomorrow via 4 country towns that have Adventure Labs for me to explore, hubby will sit in the car, he has no interest in the Ad Labs.
The temp is slowly rising again today heading for 34 degC, I am hoping for a cooler day tomorrow .

Happy stitching.
