Learning weekend

Last weekend was two days spent with a great group of ladies and Kathy Doughty, we learned her applique technique and learned to create our own version.

I got up later than the other ladies this morning to find the remanents of a frost

There is frost on the shadows of the shed

Gisborne retreat

The lovely ladies have been busy on retreat this week

Christine has bordered this beautiful quilt,

I nearly forgot,  this was the sunrise on Monday morning

Maria has been working on this quilt top, more borders are on now

Carleen has put together these inherited blocks, the border fabric came from another ladies stash

Back home

I have spent some time with Beth, Finn and Adam

Guild had the Biggest Morning Tea last Saturday and we were challenged to decorate a bra.

A $2 bra from the op shop!!

We had to do a walk around the hall and model 

One of the ladies had many decorated bras from other years

Lots of decorated tables and people wearing pink! It was a good day and I won the challenge! Big surprise!

This week I am on retreat in Gisborne

Just north

Of Margaret River was a little town called Gracetown where the waves were rolling in, we had a short stop here

People were swimming 🥶

Amazing coastline 

You can see how much rain had been falling here, below, this was a pathway!

Dunsborough

I have these out of order I think, but we stopped here to follow an Ad Lab, all about street art

Thus one was a favourite, the camera lens was a light

Before Dunsborough we stopped at another little town and I spent time in the rain and in a park getting answers to an Ad Lab. I can't remember the name of the town, will have to check at home.

It had cow in the name, hence all the cows about the place!
