Canmore

Today we have visited Canmore to find the quilt shop...and we did...oh boy what a place. ..a few photos to give you and idea

This is what you see as you walk up the stairs to the quilt shop, I would have loved to bring lots home, but only so much can be squeezed into the luggage!!

Beautiful street art in Canmore
Back in Banff I went out to do some geocaching

This moose is outside a hotel down the road.

Lake Louise

Today we have been up the freeway to have a look at Lake Louise..we had to do a bit of back and forth as the car park at the Lake was full, the sign said travel east to mm the overflow carpark, all well and good but where the heck is east????
We finally found our way and got a shuttle bus to the Lake, we had a walk around, I did some geocaching and had a walk along the lake while Donna went to find the book shop and the hotel lobby to wait for me.
The Lake has the most amazing colour when the sun is shining.

Donna waiting patiently while I find the cache 😆
Back in Banff later in the day
Donna tried a beaver tail...which I gather is kind of like a light fired pancake, with cinnamon sugar and lemon juice on it. Donna was a very happy traveller!!

Later we found the Christmas shop and I must say it was overwhelming...so much to look at.....later we found a restaurant for dinner, which was nice but very expensive.
Tomorrow we are of to Canmore, where I hear there is a quilt shop.
