Origami

Look what Noriko and I made this afternoon at school!! Yes, I was working, really!! Lol!! Noriko is so clever, I did the basic folding and she did the twirly edges and put the together. No glue, just twirled together. Beautiful.
Pretty cool huh!!!
And I received a lovely surprise in the mail today from the wonderful Marina,
Have a look at this!
Some things she made - the little crochet pieces, other things from her stash, and others are finds that I can use on my crazy quilt blocks! How nice and generous is that?? Thank you Marina, you are a treasure! I will use all of these and have a Marina block I think!
Happy sewing!

Weekend wanderings

Yesterday I went off to Eltham, picked up a  friend and we spent the rest of the day at Doreen scrapbooking - had a lovely afternoon of eating, chatting, laughing and a little scrapping!!! Today I had a lovely walk from Eltham to Research, was a beautiful morning. The this afternoon I found my way to St. Kilda, only one or two sudden lane changes when I realised I needed to be over there, not where I was! Lol! I went to a beginners origami class with the Japanese teacher from school. Was a great afternoon with a bunch of very friendly people.
Happy paper folders!! We have finished!

Our finished 'balls' plus Noriko's examples.

Our beautiful teacher, Noriko.
All in all a very creative weekend!
