We had a huge storm Wednesday evening I think, just as the sun was heading off for the day, lots of heavy rain showers and then hail, boy it was cold
Thursday evening we had a cool change and this hail storm blew in
The ground was whiteThe neighbours front yard was well covered
The back deck was covered too
Even the table
The neighbours back yard
The deck and grass, it lasted a while coming down, but disappeared after a while from the ground.
Susan's second quilt is finished and has been delivered, please excuse hubbys feet, I am having trouble using the cropping tool.
This weeks Anthology block is done, it is For Connie,
Boy's Nonsense is the block for Sylvia's Bridal Sampler.
And as there was footie on last night I returned to the sewing room and made some flying geese to add to the collection.
Tonight it is Friday Night with Friends night, a virtual sew along with other bloggers, you can sign up at our host Cheryll's blog.
Blogger is making life difficult today, I have blue writing and then black and underlined and not underlined, all part of the process of getting used to the new interface I guess. I cant figure out how to centre this post so it is staying as it is for now.
Happy stitching.
Lots of wonderful quilting again, glad you got so much done. The weather looks really chilly, too, brrr! Blogger was playing up yesterday, I noticed when I did my post, and had a lot of problems till I got the pics centred. I think they are still adjusting things! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThat was a huge hail storm indeed...
ReplyDeleteSusan donated quilt looks great and so do your blocks..
I'm off to the Cave soon to join in for FnwFs ...
Well, THAT must have been quite a surprise! It looks pretty, but I imagine it could be treacherous if you had to walk out or drive somewhere. I'm glad for you that it didn't last long.
ReplyDeletethats a lot of hail... hopefully no damage. Crazy weather.... lovely quilt.. are you still able to take donations over? Well done with the blocks and hope you got some done last night... I did crochet...

That looks like snow. Your flying geese look good.
ReplyDeleteGosh that was an amazing hail storm Sue. Love the photo of Hubbys socks poking out! Love everything you are working on ... you sure do keep busy Sue. xx
ReplyDeleteMy goodness that's a lot of hail! Your quilt looks wonderful and your Anthology blocks are growing. Love the flying geese too.
ReplyDeleteI have been resisting the new blogger and will use the legacy until they take it away. The hail looks nice to me. The rainy season ended last week here and this week has been very hot. Your news blocks are very pretty!
ReplyDeleteBlogger gave me the blue underlined text today. Rather odd. That hail storm must have been something else. At least it was small. You've been very productive, as usual. Susan's quilt came up a treat.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, I haven't seen hail like that in a long time!
ReplyDeleteYes, changing Blogger is not something I care for, and I think we're all still learning :)

That hail looks so wonderfully cool. You probably didn't think the same lol
ReplyDeleteYour accomplishments inspire me! Seems funny to see snow when it’s boiling here!
ReplyDeleteThose hail photos look great, wouldn't have like to be out in it. And I had the blue underlined writing problem too in my last post.
ReplyDeleteOh wow the hail looks lovely......
ReplyDeleteThe hail storm is so pretty and so are your projects, each and every one!
ReplyDeleteBlogger has been difficult indeed. I share your pain. Thank goodness for husbands who don't mind being holder-uppers. It is a bright and happy quilt with a fun scrappy binding. Boy's Nonsense - now that is a name that could be used for so many things ;-p Be safe and stay warm. Hugs to you.
