has appeared in the garden, the blossom is coming out
the Weeping Flowering gum is flowering
The plum tree has blossom
the lavender has bees and blossom despite hubby's pruning attempts!!
I made a few Flying Geese last week
then as football was on went and made a few more after dinner
I passed this fairy establishment on my walk recently
We have had fine days
and not so fine days, typical spring weather. We had beautiful weather Friday, and Saturday so I spent time in the garden pruning and weeding, tiring but gives you a good feeling when you can see what you have done.
Yesterday I made some Kevin Koala's, might have to come up with some other names, Keith, Kobber, Kel, I need to think on that! Can't be calling them Kevin's all the time. This is a Wendy Gratz pattern from Happy Shiney People, I love Wendy's patterns, they are so happy.
The quilts are finished and ready for delivery.
A few more hearts were sewn together last night
I nearly forgot last weeks Anthology block, I ended up making two. Double Spot above
and facets. I don't seem to have a photo f the Sylvia block so will fix that later. I am off to sew some details on to the Kevin blocks.
Happy stitching.
You can always use Kenny the Koala. Cute block
ReplyDeleteOh my, what a load of wonderful things you have crafted, I can hardly believe how much you get done each week. Love those Koalas, so sweet. The quilts look great, too. Lovely to see spring flowers, we're going into autumn, Those gumtree flowers are wonderful. Have a great week, stay safe, hugs, Valerie

So happy spring is springing for you. I spent quite a bit of time in the garden today, but I was planning what I will be planting for next year's garden!!!! It always fascinates me that we are on opposite ends of the seasons!!!
ReplyDeleteIsn’t it wonderful watching the garden wake up, although yours is further advanced than ours. Your koalas are fun. Maybe there needs to be a Karen or Karla in the mix?
ReplyDeleteYou certainly don't waste any of your time, and love your Koala's, and your spring photos look great.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of Spring are so soothing and the koalas make me smile :-) Koalas can be females so how about some girly names like Karla or Katie. Happy stitching indeed!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely garden ( love the weeping gum flowers), lovely walks, and lovely sewing.... spring is so wonderful...
ReplyDeleteHugz
Love those sweet little koala faces Sue. Your flowering gum is very pretty - I didn't know some of them flowered - it almost reminds me of the pohutukawa flower. Yes spring has sprung here too & its wonderful tho we had a ripper of a frost this morning. Have a great day Sue xx
ReplyDeleteKevin & his brothers are so cute... but I agree different names are needed.
ReplyDeleteYou've been successful making all your different blocks this week too...

Perhaps K1 K2 etc...how many K names can you find??
ReplyDeleteI do love him though....and the flying geese.
Its lovely seeing Spring coming along - wish it could last a lot longer up here though.
Wonderful photos. Pretty flowers and quilts.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowering gum - reminds me a lot of the May Gibbs illustrations. Lovely block making and your Koalas are Kool. Yes, I agree about Wendi Gratz's designs, not that I've ever made one, always tempted though!
