Normal life has resumed after all the excitement of a special birthday.
Catching up, well blogger has put these in back to front but that is ok,
Ingrid gave me this beautiful little doll yesterday, she has come from New Zealand, she has a beautiful dress and knitted cardy, crochet beret and a tiny teddy, she is so cute.
And this beautiful mini quilt, Broken Dishes pattern with Baptist fan quilting, how special is that?
I had an afternoon session last week making hexies for the Tea and Cake quilt when I should have been making an Anthology block, I completely forgot! I enjoyed the meditative action of gluing the hexies.
Blogger has this one upside down for some reason, these are the bigger blocks for Tea and Cake.
a new hexie block has been started for the Hexie Mystery Quilt
progress so far, I have just finished sewing on the brown and yellow pieces
In the week I started on an Aussie Hero quilt, the request was for black with a red border, included on the black was to be a tank, the riding sun, parachuting winds, poppies a person on a parachute, an armoured personnel carrier and anything relating to things being dropped out of planes with parachutes! Blocks all joined up.
One of the smaller feature fabric blocks for Tea and Toast
Star blocks for the Guild Mystery quilt. These are now joined on and awaiting another border.
I am off now to put some poppies onto the Aussie hero quilt.
Happy stitching.
