FNWF

Well.last night, Friday, was Friday night with friends and I completely forgot!! 🙄 I spent the day doing prep for a UFO sewing day with great Bellarine Quilters today.
I started off with a block for the Anthology quilt, I think I have about 30ish to go. I really want to get these finished.
Then I moved onto to a partially made quilt top I was given to go to Oncology. Some unpicking had to happen and it was put away.
Yesterday I pinned the coloured squares onto the corners of the blue blocks and today they were sewn in place and the last two rows were sewn on. The quilt flimsy is finished except for some kind of border. I don't have any of the original fabric so will have to come up with something.
as it isn't quite the right size I need for Oncology.
our small but happy group today.
I have been quilting the green strippy quilt made by Sue J, some of us made blocks for the last Gisborne retreat. It has gone together really well. The quilting is done , just needs trimming back now ready for binding and all the endy threads bits sewn in. That will keep me busy tonight!! 😁
I had better head off and check the dinner.
Happy stitching.

  1. A busy couple of days Sue. The star quilt top is great, I guess any bright coloured fabric would work for the border. xx

  9. How many blocks in total are there for the Anthology quilt? You have already made several. That Oncology quilt is quite stunning so I hope you manage to find some suitable fabric to finish it. Any colours you need? I wish I could machine quilt .

  11. I, too, forgot all about FNwF! I need to put all the dates in my diary - and then remember to check my diary!!! I do like that Anthology block. The flimsy for Oncology is really cool. Hope you had success with all your ends...a tiresome task at the end of a quilt!
