the painting on the Silo is getting hidden by a hedge, the property had notices up all around saying private property, apparently soon there will be parking and a viewing platform.
this statue is of Bill the Bastard. We were told it was next to impossible to ride him, but he went to the front and carried back 5 people.
Some information about him, you can also go and see the original Bill he is the the sculptors building now not far from the statue.
Now we are tucked up in the motel at Harden, feels like there could be a frost tonight!! More tomorrow.
Happy stitching.
Lots of driving but so interesting to see the silos (and everything else!)
ReplyDeleteMore amazing silos. Hope the cold passes quickly
ReplyDeleteSue - it has been a while since I have been out in blog land, visiting my friends near and far! A bit shocking to hear that you might be getting frost, and the trees are changing, but of course I know that since we are seeing teeny tiny signs of Spring! Love, love, love all the silo paintings! Say hello to Raewyn for me, and I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeletethe viewing platform will be a great idea......would be horrible with people peering over your back fecne trying to see the silo art.............more cool art work........
ReplyDeleteI’m so enjoying tagging along on your silo tour. You continue to make me jealous. The silos at Portland are soon to have a downloadable audio guide.
ReplyDeleteMore wonderful silo pictures! Those birds and florals are gorgeous. I'm glad you two had so much time together to do these things, as well as the stitching things. It seems odd to see fall in OZ, when we are happily welcoming spring flowers.
