I received this lovely appliqued bag for shoes, plus pins and soap from Leah in the Maje It, Fake it or Bake it swap we have each year.
this beautiful machine embroidered hand towel was from Janine our cook for this year, they were made for the International girls and I happened to be near when I heard there were some left over and free to a good home!
Pat gave several.of us these cleaners to use under the bobbin of your machine, very clever idea and simple really, a pipe cleaner and a plastic straw, it bends and cleans where you want it.
Chooky gave us all a bag containing a Scrub Stitching shopping bag with Scrub Stitching on one side and everyone's names on the other, a lovely kit, a pinchushion made by Jo and fridge magnets made by Sylvia. I also have a coffee mug with red gum blossoms on it, it is in the dish washer. Pretty spoilt I think.
Happy stitching.
Even though I was not physically in the room with all you girls I definitely felt part of SS from reading all our posts. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSome wonderful goodies there Sue. I have enjoyed going through all your posts of your trip away with Raewyn. Loved all the Silo's & scenery. Sounds like the Retreat was well enjoyed by everyone & great you had some company for the long drive. xx

ReplyDeletethe Baradine gum leaves came from Brenda....nice goodies.....those straws are keep sakes now as I don't think you can buy plastic ones now.....

ReplyDeleteWe were spoiled this year I think, so many wonderful gifts.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! You received some great gifts.
ReplyDeleteYou did receive some lovely gifts. I like Pat’s machine cleaner idea. I might make one.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to leave with a bag of gifties. I love the pipe cleaner and straw idea. I have half a box of straws left from my post-surgery time, and wasn't sure what to do with them. I may make a few of these and hand the out to my friends ... along with an empty medicine bottle for their sharps needing to be thrown away. Does that make me a cheap friend? LOL
ReplyDeleteSuch fun and pretty gifts. I need the "under the bobbin cleaner" so bad. I struggle to clean that bit of the machine; those lint bunnies are so hard to reach and extract. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteJust trying a test comment Sue 😊
