Gisborne retreat Day 1 and 2

Monday saw Carleen and I heading for Gisborne, we dropped off 4 quilts at SJOG for the Oncology ward  and then headed off to Bacchus Marsh where we got last minute groceries and then came to Gisborne.
I have been quilting more Oncology quilts
this one is quilted and bound
this one is quilted.
I am just beginning on the third one.
Carleen's beautiful block
Maxine block
today became 2 blocks
with more appearing
Maria is working on green blocks still using strips we had last October
another green quilt under development
Judy was given these blocks and has finished up the last few blocks and is not joining them together
Judy joined other orphan blocks were joined yesterday and will get borders at home.
Sue is joining these blocks together, it has taken some renewing as the vlocks were made on a different machine and the quarter inch seams are different. It will be stunning when it is done.
Maria and I attempted to go for a walk this morning
the trees are such beautiful autumn colours
love this painting on the back of the supermarket.
We didn't walk far as a rain shower was coming, so visited the shopping centre, then an op shop and back to sew.
More quilting to be done before dinner now.
Happy stitching.

  10. It looks like you are all being very busy at retreat, Sue. Beautiful blocks up on the design walls. You are doing so well getting through your pile of charity quilts! The start of your walk looks gorgeous with the autumn colour.
