Girls Road Trip

Last Friday Ingrid and I ventured out to show her two quilt shops, our first stop was in Ballan at Mill Rose Gallery
Ingrid outside the red door

and inside exploring patterns and fabric.
Next we went on the Sebastopol and to Gail's Patchwork Emporium
The vine is a beautiful  red hanging from the verandah.

there are so many beautiful fabrics in this shop

so much to look at

and explore

Ingrid and I made a few purchases!
this pattern and fabric had to come home with me

and fabric for a horse quilt for my sister in law, poppies for an Aussie Hero quilt from Ingrid

Love this Ghastlies fabric
On the way home we stopped in Bannockburn for petrol and a comfort stop.

these metal shapes were on the walls of the public toilets

A Rooster for the men

Cockatoos decorated the water tank outside

chookies along the back wall

and a hen for the ladies!
Pretty special I thought!
Hubby is looking for lunch so I had better make a move.
Happy stitching.

Play day

Today Shez and I ventured out into the big wide world and went adventuring!! Lol!! We went to Gails Patchwork Emporium for a look...just a look...and oh dear I did some serious card damage!!!! But have some beautiful treasures to show for it!!!
so many beautiful things in this shop!!!

Shez checking out the treasures!! There were many more photos taken today...they will be over on Shez's blog.
On our way home we did some geocachng...no success at the historic park in Smythsdale but we had a wander along a bit of the Rail Trail and found two...one at an imformation centre, the other Shez found behind a tree.
Shez had Netflix and we discovered that the series Longmire series 4 is on there so I have been cemented to the couch this afternoon watching it.....is one of my favourite programmes, but I have been doing some stitching, but it is secret so I can't share just now. Off to watch some more Longmire now and to do a few more stitches.
Happy sewing.
