Back at home Jenny was filling the bird bath but was interrupted by the big furry non bird who decided to drink the fresh water

Yep fresh is best for the Supervisor.

the Aussie Hero quilt is finished and on it's way to the recipient.

I think I have the camera on the wrong setting as the photos are a bit wonky!!

We had afternoon tea at Van Loons nursery...Look at the size of the muffin!!!

Lynda, Jenny and I had a cuppa, cheescake and much fun in the sun.

Back at home I filled the seed holders, I could hear some noise down in the gum tree so got out the camera and zoomed in...

these guys were having a wonderful time, all chatting away and all trying to get at the seed.

This is the Mill where the Bellarine Quilters are having their exhibition. We did duty yesterday and managed to get in and out without being swooped by the magpie.

Another beautiful day today so I am hoping we might go and do some geocaching this afternoon, you should have seen the faces here when I suggested it!!

Out and About with Jenny

Yesterday we had a day of adventure and fun

playing at the Antiques centre on the Bellarine Highway

he doesn't look to happy though!! I told hubby we NEED this down the garden...imagine this standing near the vege patch!! lol!! he nearly fell over when I suggested that and then told him it was $600!!! Won't be happening but was good for a laugh!!

We found these beautiful lamps in a shop window in Queenscliff, sadly you can't see the lamp but it was like a balloon behind the figure.

There we worked on a cake for David to take to tennis club Wednesday, I think there are birthday and Christmas celebrations happening today.

Ta da!!! This is before one end started to lean dangerously , I think I soaked the sponge fingers a bit too much..

guess who was tasting!! I didn't take a photo of the finished cake but it had shards of chocolate all around it.....hope it goes down ok today.

We are off to visit a local friend this morning and then heading over to Drysdale to return my library books and get some seafood for dinner. Might even do some sewing this afternoon!!

Yesterday

was my last day of duty at the Bellarine Quilt exhibition...it was a wild and windy day yesterday, the sea was pounding in

I stopped to take these photos coming through Indented Head

we tied the mini quilts on the front fence and were ready for visitors 

the Mill is in a lovely setting

and is a beautiful  old building.

Is sit and sew at Port today so best get myself ready.

Thursday

was spent at the Mill in Port Arlington, helping to set up for the Bellarine Quilters Bi-annual quilt exhibition. The Mill is a very old building looked after by the National Trust, so no nails can be put in walls!! We had the official opening last night..I took a few photos but it was a bit dark, I will take some more today...I have duty today and tomorrow.

Jill talking about her beautiful quilt behind her...I think one lady made the comment "Imagine how much rubbish TV and red wine you could have enjoyed instead of sewing all these bits of fabric together!!"

I made this many years ago as part of a challenge from Donna at the Gisborne group, the challenge was BBQ...it had to be a tryptic, use black and a batik. The patterns for the birds were from the NZ Quilter magazine.

I made this bear one day with  Margaret...we had a sewing day together, Marg had made bears before and was a great instructor for me!
